International policy

One of the key words for the University of Pavia today is ‘internationalisation’. In Pavia internationalisation is a priority based on exchanges of knowledge, students and teaching staff; research collaboration and teaching in English.
Internationalisation infuses all aspects of academic life. The University of Pavia offers a series of exchange programmes for students as well as language courses, scholarships for overseas study and Summer and Winter schools abroads. These include:
• Erasmus Plus;
• Coimbra Group Student Exchange Network;
• ‘Fondo per la Cooperazione e la Conoscenza - in and out of Pavia’, with students from developing countries.

Our main international programmes are:
• 4 Erasmus Mundus Action 2 projects funded with the support of the European Commission (Dunia Beam Panacea, Tempo, Webb);
• the Marco Polo programme for Chinese students
• the E-Plus project for the strengthening of the Palestine University System.

These programmes are complemented by the services offered to incoming students at the Welcome Point and those dedicated to placements and overseas work for Italian students..

The University of Pavia is a dynamic, open and welcoming place to study.
Furthermore, the 20 university colleges make Pavia one of a kind in Italy and constitute a city-campus, perfect for making the most of student life.
